Summer and Mouse were sat at the computer in Summer's room.
Summer was checking her detective email to see if any cases had come forward while looking on the internet for cases, while Mouse sat there board.
"Well, did you find any cases?" asked Mouse.
"Not yet, but I'm gonna keep looking" said Summer.
Just then, the phone rang.
Summer picked it up, this was a private number for people to call with cases so it had to be for her.
"Hello, Salt Detective Co" said Summer
"Hi there, Is this Summer and Mouse salt?" asked a boy's voice.
"This is Summer Salt, who's speaking please?" asked Summer.
"This is Nathan Ericson, you don't know me but I've read about you" said the boy.
"Do you have a case for me?" asked Summer.
"No, I have one for US" said Nathan.
"Come again?" questioned Summer.
"Oh right, I should have mentioned this sooner but me and my little brother, Vincent, are also junior detectives. We have this case where an abandoned pediatric psych ward was apparently shut down a few years back after being found out for not having any actual patents, but taking kids and doing experiments on them that involved laughter in some way. As you can probably guess, the whole mess was covered up. We were going to investigate this further, but decided to get some help from detectives with a little more experience than us. We realized you were local from the flyers and posters you put up to advertise your detective agency, so we contacted you" said Nathan.
"So...you want to work together?" asked Summer.
"Yes, it would be an honor to work with such great minds as yourself and your sister. So, are you in?" asked Nathan.
"Hold on a second, I'll have to talk it over with Mouse" said Summer.
"So, what do you think Mouse? This boy's also a junior detective and he wants us to work on a case with him, you up for it?" asked Summer to her little sister.
"Sure, I'll go grab my gear" said Mouse as she went off to find her detective kit.
"Alright, where should we meet?" asked Summer.
"How about the hospital itself? It's called St Giggles Psychiatric, you can search for it and it should come up" said Nathan.
Summer typed in a name and found an address.
"Alright, got an address. See you there in about 1 hour" said Summer.
"Sounds good" said Nathan.
The two detectives put the phone down and Summer went to grab Mouse.
"C'mon mouse, we're going to St Giggles" called Summer into Mouse's room.
"Hang on, just grabbing my UV Light and a liquid collection thingies in case of blood" said Mouse.
"I highly doubt there's gonna be blood, it's not exactly a murder scene" said Summer.
"Yeah, but you never know" said Mouse as she came out with the liquid collection tools.
"Alright, Miss CSI. You all set now?" asked Summer.
"Yeah, got everything I need" said Mouse.
"Me too" said Summer as she grabbed her kit and headed down stairs.
"How do we get there?" asked Mouse.
"Our wooden go-karts. they can fit two people in at once, so it's perfect if we all need to move from place to place" said Summer.
"Alright, let's do this" said Mouse as she headed for the back yard where the go-karts were.
1 Hour later, Summer and Mouse turn up to St Giggles, where Nathan and Vincent were already waiting.
"Hey, I'm Nathan and this is Vincent, I believe we spoke on the phone" said the tallest boy.
"Indeed we did. I'm Summer, nice to meet you" said Summer as she shook Nathan's hand.
"So, we're looking for evidence of the experiments. We should stick together in case this place isn't entirely abandoned" said Vincent.
"Yeah, good Idea" said Mouse.
"OK Guys, we are entering our crime scene" said Summer as she and Nathan led the way.
As they entered the building, they realized it was very dark.
"Everyone got a flash light?" asked Summer.
"Got mine" said Mouse as she turned it on
"Me too" said Nathan as he activated his.
"Mine's right here" said Vincent as he turned it on.
"Alright then, where should we check first?" asked Nathan.
Mouse piped up with a suggestion, she thinks they should check
