She spied the beggar talking to two other men

Mouse noticed the movement behind the house through the rear window. She quickly ran there and opened the window slightly ajar, then pressed her ear to the slit.

"I'm tellin' you, them two kids are alone in there like my middle finger." The beggar's raspy voice went. "You can trust ol' Harry Grimes."

"I hope so. If that's the right house, then we can't afford any complications. We..." The second voice suddenly went quiet. Mouse pulled her head down. The three dark silhouettes outside disappeared.

Mouse put her fist in her mouth. What should she do in this situation?
