Adrien woke up in total darkness. The near sound of sloshing and bubbling and the distant thumping sound that echoed around him were the only company he had.
"Where I am... And what is this smell?" He pondered. He realized he was lying down on some sort of mushy thing and he tried of covering his nose to repel the smell of...
"Vomit?" he muttered, and then everything came back to him. How he decided to hide in the food and how Marinette actually ate him.
"No, No, No, nononononono..." he cried. Realize he was in her stomach was an heavy thing to digest (ah, the irony!). He couldn't not comprehend how Plagg would be so cruel to leave him to that fate, only because he criticized his smelly paws.
Suddenly, the "water" around him became more agitated, and Adrien realized Marinette was probably moving around. And knowing her, she was moving a lot.
With nothing to grab on, Adrien fell in the sludge that he knew where the things she ate before him mixed with stomach acids. He resigned to his fate and closed his eyes, hoping that he would die soon, without too much suffering.
" At least, " he thought, " I'll be part of one of the two most creative people I know. Goodbye Milady. Goodbye Marinette. "
But the burning never came, Adrien was still floating in the pool of acids without the acids melting him.
" Wh-What?" he asked to no one in particular. He was stunned by the fact he wasn't dead yet. And then, a wave made of Marinette 's lunch came upon him. He was submerged and he instinctively held his breath, but swimming to the surface was a lot harder than he thought in the thick sludge, so when he couldn't hold his breath any longer, he expected to drown.
But he didn't. He was now able to breath underwater. Or under vomit, if he wanted to be literal. The smell wasn't better
When he finally resurfaced he swam towards the nearest island of undigested food. And that was when he realized that he could finally see like he was under the sun.
And what he saw were the pink walls of Marinette 's stomach, and he realized that he was swimming towards the same macaron that doomed him.
"How I am able to do that...?" Adrien wondered, while climbing the macaron. He shrugged, thinking that it may be an effect of the shrink ray.
