Tali is already awake when Shepard arrives

Shepard and Chakwas walked into the medical bay where Tali previously slept. The purple quarian was now wide awake and pestering one of the nearby medical personnel. Spying the Commander, the light in Tali's eyes seemed to glow a little brighter. "Shepard!"

The commander smiled. "Welcome back to the world of the living Tali Zorrah vas Normandy." He turned back to the nearby crew member. " How's she doing?"

The female attendant chuckled. " Given all that's occurred, Tali is doing extremely well. All of her systems seem to be in proper order, and all that's left to test is her endocrine system."

"I'm telling you I'm fine!" Tali dismissed the attendant's comments with a wave of her hand. "Kelah...you almost die and everyone thinks you've gone soft."

Shepard smiled. "You seem to be coping well. How are you feeling?"

"A little sore, but nothing major. Kind of like getting hit with a concussive round in the stomach at close range. Apart from that, I feel normal. Well..." she glanced at her unsuited body "mostly normal. Anyone care to explain this?" She waved her arm again, purple flesh glinting in the bright lights. "I'm not exactly in my suit anymore am I? But I feel fine, so I guess what I'm asking is, how?"

Shepard looked to Chakwas and back to Tali. "Can you walk?"

"Yes"

"Come with me then. We'll get you some proper clothing. I'll explain on the way.

Tali rose to follow him. As the two exited the Med-Bay, one could easily hear the female quarians stomach rumble. "Shepard, would you mind if we stopped by the mess hall real quick? I don't know if it was the accident, but I'm starving."

"..."

"What?"
