Mark tried to analyze this with a cold head but he realized there was an increasing temptation to try this with Jessica, his overbearing and seemingly misadrist older sister. He couldn't exactly pinpoint the reason for this, he knew she hated his guts and would be in great danger if he decided to expose a smaller version of himself in front of her or if he messed around and she caught him, but he just couldn't shake the idea away.
Maybe it was because he wanted to have a good relationship with her, maybe because he wanted to correct those wrong beliefs and show her what men could be capable of, maybe it was even a subconscious fantasy for him because of who she was, how she treated him and her sexual orientation, or maybe just to mess with her by sneaking into her room and getting some juicy material he could use as blackmail, but other safer and probably even more interesting options were eventually discarded.
Mark took a little trip to the backyard just for quick recon to make sure Jessica was still there, just laying face down and not even looking at her book or her phone, just relaxing and letting the sun do its magic on her skin. He knew from previous sunbathing sessions that she probably would just lay there for around another hour or so, giving him enough time to sneak into her locked room via a portal if he wanted to, so he just went back to his room and started to set the parameters for his great invention.
It didn't take him long to set the portal so he could appear inside the locked room, something that in theory wouldn't even be possible but thanks to his modded gun he could make it happen. That didn't mean he could just teleport anywhere he wanted though, in fact it was a bit of an experiment using one of his own receivers as target, setting it close to the door of her room and using the modded gun to customize the range and overcome the physical obstacle. Mark got excited at the capabilities it offered but also felt a bit of fear knowing that with such a technology maybe something could go wrong and leave him in a dangerous situation.
With a hopeful breath Mark activated the portal and smiled when he saw it was working as intended, the other end was about 3 inches tall and it was set up just in front of Jessica's bed. He felt another pinch of doubt, should he do it without her consent? Would she consent to something like this? What was even her opinion about portals anyway? but the curiosity was too great at this point, and finally he got into the portal
