Sneaky Mark and giant sister

Mark decided his research would be better if he shrunk around his sister without her knowing. Mark was preparing escape plans for if things went wrong while he was with his sister but he was still undecided on one thing, if the portal device was to break or be thrown from his person then he would be stranded until he found it again or until he died. Mark shuddered a bit at the thought of his little 13 year old sister crushing the life out of him but he put it out of his mind.
Mark gave it a little more thought, if he holds onto it then he has it to use right there and then but he has a chance of losing it if something was to happen. If Mark sets it up in a camp-like place in her room that he could reach easily then he could run to it when it was time to go but it put him in danger more than if he had it but if he was careful to not get in any dangerous positions then it was a great idea but it would be up to chance on what happens to him .
