Alright. We don't have very many Danes here, but we do have at least a couple. Come on in and meet our gals!
Ginger: Ginger is a newer pup, about a year and a half old. She's quite a handful, and isn't afraid to use her size to her advantage, so she really needs an owner who knows what they're doing with her. She's friendly and sweet, but she often gets into trouble because she gets bored easily and doesn't handle inactivity very well. If you can keep her under control, she's a wonderful dog, but, as you can tell by the fact that you're here considering working with her, her last family wasn't up to the challenge.
This big gal has gorgeous coloring, her white and black splotched fur looking not unlike someone had tried to paint it onto her. She has big, bright, green eyes that are surprisingly intense for a Dane, and has a black-spotted, jowly face that gave her an almost cartoonish contrast between her intense eyes and her droopy face. She's big, as Great Danes often are, but not all her weight comes from just her frame.
As a clear testament to how much trouble her old family had controlling her, Ginger sports quite the portly belly, as well as thick haunches and a broad back. Being unable to keep her out of most things, Ginger's appetite had been dictated primarily by the pudgy gal herself, the big Dane forcing her way into the pantry and fridge as she ate what she pleased, her family mostly unable to prevent her from getting into whatever she wanted. Currently pushing a hearty two hundred seven pounds, she's lost some weight here since she came here. Having arrived here at two hundred and forty pounds, Ginger was at the point where her previous family could essentially do nothing to prevent her food raids, the gal having grown too strong and too heavy for them to have done much to get her away from the foods she desired.
She's yours if you'd like her, but you need to know that she's not going to be a walk in the park.
