Rosa dipped her weary feet into the pool. She was short with plump cheeks and black pixie cut hair. From minor reporter to camerawoman due to budget cuts. She supposed it was kind that rather than fire everyone they just shuffled 'non-essential' personnel round. Rosa snorted, she non-essential, that was like saying her neighbor Nancy Will was a joy o be around. Always trying to one-up her with lawn ornaments and thinly veiled insults. She took another deep sip from her wine glass, a satisfied sigh jumped from her lips. Jon and the kids would be back in an hour; that was good, Rosa just need some time to her self.
A loud "Bang" drew her eyes skyward, just in time to see a blazing rock descend from the heavens into her pool. Jolts and sparks of electricity flood the pool and ran up Rosa, from pinky toe to forehead. Rosa collapsed from the overwhelming feeling, as quickly as it begins the electricity stoped. A lump of jagged space rock floated to the surface.
Ten minutes later Rosa woke to the squawking of a bird.
