"Ooh, how about we go to the mall! Kaori suggested.
"Sounds fun." I like it. Chiharu said.
Mariko nodded. The mall was usually fun.
"You know what we could do?" Kaori said, smiling.
"What?" Mariko asked.
"Well, my dad caught a rat in a little cage in our front yard yesterday. What if we put glitter in its hair and set it loose? Ha ha ha!" Kaori said.
"Ooh, if our parents found out they'd kill us." Chiharu said.
Mariko thought for a moment.
"Screw it, I'm in. Let's make today exciting!" Mariko said.
The three of them went to Kaori's house to find a very large brown rat in the front yard, squeaking in a little cage.
"Aw, it's kinda cute." Mariko said.
"You two keep watch. I'll run inside and grab some art supplies." Kaori said.
She quickly came back with a small plastic tub full of glitter. She sprinkled it through the bars of the cage and left it saturated in glitter.
"Open your bag, Mariko! Let's stuff it in." Kaori said.
"What? That's my... diaper... bag. I don't want rat hair all over my... diapers." Mariko whispered.
"Well how else are we supposed to get it in the mall? We can't just lug the cage around, and my purse is too small." Kaori said.
"Yeah, and mine's all full." Chiharu said.
She opened her purse and showed that it was had her wallet, as well as a copious amount of tampons still in the wrapper, almost as if she were showing off a tampon collection.
"Fine. But if I get fleas on my butt from this I'm blaming you!" Mariko said, pointing her finger at Kaori's face.
Mariko grabbed the large glittery rat and shoved it in her diaper bag. It didn't seem to mind being in such a dark cramped place at all.IN fact, it seemed more comfortable there than in the cage.
The three girls walked to the mall, which was only a few blocks away. The went in and stopped over by the fountain across the hall from a shoe store.
"Perfect. Let's do this!" Kaori said.
Mariko giggled and unzipped the bag. The glitter-covered rat ran through the store and all hell broke loose almost immediately. Women screamed and men ran to try and scare it away. Children laughed at such a silly looking animal. Mariko, Kaori, and Chiharu all laughed and ran for cover to look like they were just part of the shocked crowd.
