Bound for the city

"Wh-what!?" Alphys sputtered. "Y-you can't just go there now, you'll-!!"
"Ahh, c'mon." Undyne interrupted, only grinning more widely. "How many more times am I gonna get a chance like this?"

Her girlfriend was not moved. "U-Undyne, you're already stronger than all the humans we've ever met, and that's when you're at your normal size! You could cause so much damage if you went into the city, w-without even trying-!!"
"Aww," Undyne cooed, "You don't need to get so worked up over it, Alphys. Just for you, I promise I'll be extra careful once I get there."

Alphys still didn't look remotely convinced. She was fidgeting wildly, resting on Undyne's palm.
"I'm not hearing any more complaints!" Undyne went on. She raised her hand up to her face and planted a kiss on Alphys, her lips covering the majority of her girlfriend's body in one go.
Once she pulled away, Alphys was left dazed, wobbling in place. Undyne grinned at her and gently set her down at the edge of the clearing that housed the remains of her lab.
"OK, I'll get this cleaned up in no time -- just wait there."

Undyne's method of "cleaning" was characteristic of her, if rather different from what most people would probably think of.
She'd quickly gathered up the largest pieces of surviving equipment she could find and moved them into one massive pile at the opposite end of the clearing, and swept the remaining masses of broken materials and rubble into a spectacular junk pile elsewhere.
Finished, she swept her feet across the cracked floorspace a few times to knock aside any remaining debris.
Alphys was still watching from the edge of the area, nervousness all over her little face. Undyne crouched in front of her, still towering far over her head even like this.
"You can work with this, right?" Undyne asked.
"U-um... Well, y-yes, but it's going to-"
"Great!"
Undyne stood back up to her full and incredible height, leaving Alphys in her towering shadow.
"I'm heading into the city now. I'll be back later."
Alphys managed to summon one last burst of courage as Undyne's huge sneakers turned and began to walk away, her footfalls shaking the ground and producing an intimidating boom.
"W-wait!! Undyne!!"

But it was too late. Her behemoth of a girlfriend didn't hear her. Alphys hung her head, defeated.

Undyne stretched her stiff arms and legs a few times as she approached the edge of the city. She could see cars halting on the highway, their occupants staring at her in shock.

Within the city, those nearest to the outskirts could see the incredible sight for themselves.
Many recognized the towering fish-lady approaching the city as one of the first monsters to publicly reveal herself following their exodus from beneath Mt. Ebott a year and a half ago.
Inevitably, screams began to echo through the city as Undyne arrived, stopping at the outermost reaches of the city limits. Even the tallest buildings couldn't quite match her incredible height.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Undyne greets the people below.

2. She's moving right on to the buildings around her.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
