"Kay, what time is Amy due for her nails done again?" Carly asked as she strutted into the reception of her salon, high heels echoing loudly.
Kay looked up and then grabbed the register, going down the list of appointments. "Um... 1:45pm." She said.
"Okay, thanks." Carly sighed, glancing at her watch. She then grabbed her phone out of her nearby purse and sat down behind her desk, crossing her legs to send a text message to her fiance. Meanwhile, the yelps in the back room had stopped, indicating that Zoe had almost finished waxing her latest client Megan.
Kay looked at Carly for a moment, then changed her mind about asking for a raise. She picked up her own phone and looked at it, noting the cracked cover. She'd never be able to afford a new iphone at this rate. As she put her phone down, Kay suddenly saw an array of bright lights in front of her and her eyes rolled up into her head for a moment until the lights had subsided. The whole 'incident' lasted only a few seconds, but it took Kay's breath.
Letting out a gasp, Carly looked up and frowned. "Are you alright?" She asked Kay.
Jay shook her head for a moment and regained her senses, then she looked over at Carly. "Er... yeah, I'm fine. Must just have been a dizzy spell." She smiled. No sooner had she said that, she heard a whisper inside her head... The power is now yours.
Kay blinked a couple of times, and then her head filled with the knowledge of this new 'power' the voice told her she had. Bizarrely enough... it was the power to exchange people's body parts. And apparently she could choose whether she made the people she used it on aware or not.
No way... Kay thought, a slight smirk creeping on her face as she chose to believe the voice. As people passed by in front of the salon window, she pondered her next course of action carefully...
