This choice: ...an engagement party/wedding? • Go Back... Natalie could feel her jittery nerves as she looked at herself in the mirror at 7:30am. This was her big day, she was finally getting married. And she couldn't believe it. She'd dreamt of this day since she was a little girl, and now here it was. She let out a contented sigh and smiled at her reflection as she put her make-up on that morning. She had to be at the church for 10:30am, since the ceremony was at 11:30am at the All Saints Church.
Then after the ceremony, there would be a reception in which her family and friends would be attending, including all her co-workers from Wilkos and Beautylicious.
"Sis?" Natalie's older sister Nikki called out, knocking on her bedroom door. "Limo will be here at 10:15am." she smiled, poking her head through the door. "And I'll be back in a minute to help you do your hair."
"Thank you sis!" Natalie turned and smiled at her 33-year old sister, who was already attired in the off-the-shoulder pink bridesmaids dress and heels she'd be wearing to the wedding. Nikki had always been an early riser.
Natalie calmly continued putting her make-up on as across town, preparations at the church were in full swing.

A couple of hours later, the first of Natalie's friends from work started showing up at the church. And all of them were looking their best, with the odd exception. Waggy was the first to arrive with her husband Dave and their two children Jack and Eden. Waggy was wearing a fetching knee-length red dress and a pair of black suede heels, while her husband looked dapper in a casual navy suit. The kids looked equally as smart.
Then Liz and her husband Eric turned up, greeting Waggy and her family. Liz was attired in a gorgeous, low-cut purple frock made of satin and a pair of strappy sandals with heels. Instead of her usual ponytail, Liz was wearing her hair down today. Eric meanwhile had on a pair of 'smart' black pants and a white shirt, as well as his black loafers.
Then one by one the other staff from Wilkos arrived, mingling with the growing crowd. All the women looked amazing, make-up in quality and quantity and all of them attired in everything from fetching gowns to short dresses, from skirt/blouse combos to pant suits. The younger women did love occasions where they could pull their favorite dresses out of storage. And as for the men, they mainly wore smart suits, except for Aaron and Liam, who dressed a lot more 'casual'.
"So when's Natalie getting here again?" Waggy asked Liz as they enjoyed a glass of champagne."
Liz glanced at the expensive gold watch on her wrist and shrugged. "Hmm, not sure, about 10:30am I think." Eric was stood next to his wife trying not to make it too obvious that he was enjoying seeing his wife's plentiful cleavage on display.
And so the crowd kept swelling in size as the wedding approached.

Some time later, everyone was sat or stood in the church (with the exception of Aaron and Jodie, who were outside having a smoke), when a limo pulled up outside. By this time the groom and best man had already arrived and now everyone was waiting on Natalie and her bridesmaids. Jodie stumped out her cigarette and ran back into the church when she and Aaron saw Natalie step out of the limo, looking radiant in her white wedding dress and veil. Her 3-inch heel pumps clicked on the ground and she took in deep breaths as her sister and two cousins (also bridesmaids) followed her, picking up the hem of her dress.
The wedding music started to play, and almost everyone got in the mood.
What followed was the most exquisite ceremony any of them had ever seen. "Wish our wedding had been this good." Liz whispered to her husband, as she slipped her arm through his and cuddled up to him in the pew.
A half hour after it had started, the wedding was over, and everyone moved outside for the photo session.
After that, it was on to the Park Hotel for the wedding reception. The entire hotel belonged to Natalie and Mike that day, with caterers and servers making sure that the guests were well fed. "My favorite part of any wedding." Eric chuckled to himself as he and Liz entered the hotel amongst all the other guests.
A strange calm settled over everyone's heads...
