Chapter #4Alexa. by: Unknown Steven received the package just after he had finished dinner. He politely thanked the mailman for the delivery, signed his name on the dotted line presented to him, and then returned into his apartment. He quickly cleaned up his dinner table and then placed the box on top of it. It was a relatively small, but heavy box that Steven knew contained the thing that would change his life forever. He got some scissors and carefully opened the box, revealing what appeared to be a very high tech handgun that was small enough to easily fit within Steven's pocket. There were no bullets and there did not appear to be anywhere to load bullets into anyway. The gun had a few different colored buttons near the trigger, which indicated it's settings. The gun was a gift from Steven's American friend, Jake. Jake was an incredibly gifted inventor who specialized in unbelievable things. Steven had been complaining to Jake about how boring his life had gotten and Jake insisted on sending Steven this invention of his.
On it's "Red" function, the gun shot a ray of invisible energy out from it that would turn the person that it shot into an empty skin that served as a full body costume. Anyone could then put on that costume and would become that person, their body adapting to fit within the skin perfectly and disappearing within it. The wearer would then have access to all of the costume's memories, personality traits, and physical mannerisms, allowing the wearer to impersonate the costume's identity with near perfection. To get the costume off, the wearer would just have to shoot themself, turning their body back into an external costume that could be taken off. In order make the costume a human again, they would have to be re-shot with the gun as a costume. They would then re-inflate and not remember anything that had happened to them from moments before they were shot until they woke up. If the gun was set on it's "Green" setting and shot a costume, that costume would be remade into it's human form, but with the mind of the last person wearing it in control, still having access to their personality and memories and subservient to the owner of the gun. The "Blue" setting of the gun would create a duplicate skin of the person it was shot at, allowing for multiple copies of the same person to be running around. There was also a "Yellow" and a "Black" setting, but Jake had neglected to explain exactly what it was that they did.
Steven looked over the gun in his hand and grinned. Steven had spent the past several days planning what he would be doing with this. Now that it had arrived, he could barely contain his excitement. There were so many options that he didn't even know how to sort through all of them at first. Eventually, he had narrowed down a plan for his first use of the gun. He didn't want it's first use to be on someone that he knew too well or was particularly close with. He also didn't want it to be someone that people knew well enough to notice if they started to act slightly different from their usual way. He figured that his co-worker Alexa would be the best choice for these reasons. She was the newest worker at Wilkos, the department store where Steven had been working for most of his adult life. the 24 year old Mexican beauty had just gotten the job a week or two ago. Her English was very good, but she spoke with a heavy Spanish accent. She was 5' 6'' with a good figure and dusty blonde hair that she often wore down. Her skin was tanned to a near golden color thanks to where she grew up. Since she was so new and only worked at Wilkos part time, she was the perfect test subject for Steven. He would be able to shoot her while at work and leave early in her body to continue on with Alexa's day, wherever that was. He'd be able to enjoy his new body and the new life and could leave at his own convenience. If things with Alexa were successful, then Steven would move on to others that he knew, maybe even his best friend and crush, Liz. Steven smiled at the gun in his hand. tomorrow would be a fun day at work.
