Park, lake or beach?

The crashing ship flies lower to the ground before it hits the sand, the ship continues to glide along the sand before lightly hitting a hill. some of the glass windows had shattered including the cockpit windows on impact of the hill. After a while all that was heard was the sound of the ocean, the spaceship had landed on a beach and there was no one around as the day was overcast threatening rain. The lights on the ship had gone out leaving the inside of the ship in darkness. The thing was though even though the ship had landed on what appeared to be a beach was it really still Earth?
