Running along the edge of the forest was a busy motorway, the only one in the region. Cars, coaches, trucks and so on whizzing along the many lanes. The Wolverine smelt the vehicles, he had never encountered vehicles before on his world or roads. So the smells were new to him. He was wary, but also hungry and curious. As he neared the edge of the forest he could see the many colourful vehicles running along the great long grey ribbon that was the motorway. How strange, he could smell the prey within the vehicles. He would have to go and investigate this new prey. He walked on and finally emerged from the forest...
Most vehicles had not heard the constant crashing of trees from within the forest. They were completely oblivious. Apart from the bus that had broken down on the shoulder near to where he was approaching. The driver was out looking at the engine. He gazed into the forest wondering what was causing the crashing. Dismissing it as loggers working he continued to tinker with the engine. But when the crashing stopped and was replaced with thuds he looked and gasped as a gigantic Wolverine casually emerged from the forest and started to come right at him and his bus! He screamed and quickly ran back on board. The passengers panicked and screamed as well. Desperately he tried to start the engine. The beast continued to approach. Passengers fled into the motorway. Cars horns blared and brakes screeched as a pile up was caused by the fleeing passengers and sight of the gigantic Wolverine bearing down on them.
The Wolverine strolled on boldly. The prey looked so weak he was sure he could deal with them with ease. Out of the vehicles emerged his prey. Screaming and running about. He licked his lips. So small but so many! He jumped though when the horns blared and loud screeching of brakes followed by crashes. He didn't run but stopped and watched the pile up occur before his eyes. All lanes blocked by the pile up, making his prey immobile and easy to catch! On he walked, going for the bus that was closest. He stopped before the bus and stared down at it. He lowered his head for a sniff. Within he heard screaming prey and out of the doors emerged more. He groaned and swung his head towards the closest people. His tongue flicked out and he slurped them up. He didn't swish or chew. He tipped his head back and GULP! He swallowed them whole and alive. He groaned contently, tasty, but not so filling. But there were thousands more to fill his belly. Wolverines were known for their gluttony.
Having seen the broad paw and sharp claws looming menacingly just inches from the bus made a couple snap and run out in fear. Even though the loud sniffs could be heard against the roof. They ran out of the bus and looked up. Screaming as over them was the giant Wolverine's head. His jaws opened and his great saliva coated tongue slid out. They ran on but it was futile the tongue slaps into them and with lightning speed it lifts and flicks them back into the beast's maw. With a thunderous gulp they were pulled into the throat and tumbled down into the stomach. Which was of course dark, smelly and yet to fill with digestive juices. Beating on the walls and begging to be released the couple unknowingly gave the great carnivore great pleasure. Digestive acids began to fill his stomach. Burning them from their feet up as the beast began to digest them. Splashes and more screams were the last thing they heard as the Wolverine snacked on.
The Wolverine loved the sensation his live swallowed prey gave within his belly! More! He want more! He noticed they prey was hiding in the vehicles, he would have to get them out. He lifted one of his paws and looked at his claws. Great for digging, climbing and gripping prey usually. But now they could be used sort of like can openers. His broad feet could also be used to slowly crush the vehicles and spook his prey out...
