The clan of spotted hyenas hesitantly made their way through the portal. Their matriarch was the first to appear in the new but familiar world. The clan leader sniffed at the ground and found the scent familiar but a little different than what she was used to.
A small plant lay not too far from her and she sniffed that and to her surprise it has the same scent as a tree! The matriarch was very confused at all of this. In the distance she could see small creatures running away in fear. She recognised these creatures as zebras. Tiny zebras.
Compared to the world around them the clan of hyenas were around 440 foot tall at the shoulder. Some of the clan members chased after the zebras. They easily caught up to the small animals and slurped them up and swallowed them whole. The matriarch was unsure about this strange place and thought it was best to go back but before they could the portal had closed leaving them trapped in this new world.
The matriarch didn't like this but she now had no choice but to lead her clan further into this new place in search of larger prey. Just as the matriarch was about to lead her clan away she saw something on the ground. The clan leader slowly lowered her head and was surprised to see something her clan knew to avoid.
It was a vehicle and it had tiny humans inside it! She recognised the vehicle as the ones that carried many humans inside and these humans normally had flashy things in their hands. Humans always caused trouble for her clan and now she was in a position to get some payback.
