Roy looked around for some random, inanimate object to target now. Wandering back to his bedroom, Roy looked out the window at his broken-down car sitting out in the parking lot. Smiling mischievously, Roy pointed the device at the automobile and pressed the button.
Roy was immediately shocked by the results.
Outside in the parking lot, his car had been instantaneously replaced by a completely different vehicle – at least it vaguely resembled a vehicle! It was still an automobile of some sort, but it was now shaped (and painted) like a human woman... specifically a woman who resembled Sarah Howard. The headlights now resembled Sarah's glasses and eyes, the front grill was painted to look like her smiling mouth, the hood was her hair, the front tires her hands, and the back tires her feet. The body of the car was now painted to appear like the body of a human woman, with the trunk even shaped almost like a human woman's rear end.
“If that's my car, then... what happened to Sarah?” Roy mumbled aloud.
He rushed back out from his room and into the kitchen. There, in Sarah's place, stood a bizarre mechanical creature... still making scrambled eggs. It chugged along with the happy growl of a fine-tuned automobile engine. The robotic car-girl wore Sarah's clothes – blouse, sweater, slacks, nylons, and shoes. None of them seemed to fit particularly well though. The creature was composed of rusty metal plates and some dented pieces of plastic and cheap rubber. It had glowing, glass headlights for eyes and rubber tire-like hands and feet. Noxious exhaust fumes were periodically sputtering out from beneath the creature's black dress slacks.
As Roy approached, slack-jawed, the car-girl loudly honked its horn in a happy greeting.
Roy smiled weakly and silently waved at the automaton.
Just then Roy's bleary-eyed roommate Jack Sutton emerged into the room.
“Morning Clunker!” said Jack, walking up and kissing the car-girl on its cold, rusted metal faceplate. “Breakfast smells great. Thanks for cooking.”
The car-girl beeped its horn again happily.
“You should really build yourself a girlfriend like my Clunker here,” Jack said to Roy. “She's the best thing that ever happened to me.”
