Grace left the room

Grace headed back out into the carpeted hallway. The stairs were immediately to the left. Carl's mom's room was straight at the end of the hallway, while Claire's room was in the corner nearest her mom's room. Directly across from the stairs was Grace's room. Which room should she check?
