Elise weakly nodded her head. Ms. Black knew Elise had learned her lesson and set things up to release the little girl from the pod. She pressed a few buttons, and the fluid began draining from the unbirthing pod, laving Elise a helpless lump on the floor. The biomechanical umbilicus disconnected itself from Elise and she was breathing with her lungs again. Poor little Elise was so tired she could not even keep her eyes open. Ms. Black grabbed a towel, scooped up the naked and damp little girl, and began drying her off. Elise's eyes were shut the entire time, and she felt warm and comfortable in Ms. Black's arms.
Elise still hadn't opened her eyes when it was time to get diapered again. She was so worn out from the pod that she could not keep them open, and was too weak to walk at the moment. She was totally in the power Ms. Black, who was getting a fresh diaper ready.
