Chapter #3

Let's Work On Your Vocabulary

    by: Mr.Z Author IconMail Icon
You look at your schedule and head over to room 313 in Building C. Entering the class, you see rows of chair desks lined up neatly and facing the teacher's desk in front of the white board. The opposite side of the door you entered are counters filled with books and windows that give you a nice third floor view of trees. The class is full of students in their seats, talking and laughing with each other about the summer and how happy they are to be back. You sit down on an empty seat in the second row, to your left is a Hispanic boy with black spiky hair and to your right is a girl with brown curly hair.

You want to start a conversation with one of them but you're too shy. Your nerves get the best of you but after a couple of minutes you muster up the courage to talk. "Hi, my name is Scott." You say too softly for anyone to hear. Before you could try again however, the teacher opens the door and walks on over to her desk.
"Good morning class!" She says with the utmost enthusiasm. She looks to be in her late twenties, wearing a gray feminine suit with matching skirt, and her jet black hair tied up in a pony tail. Her dark brown eyes lie behind her thick black glasses, and her l luscious lips were painted by her scarlet red lipstick. She writes her name on the white board behind her. "My name is Ms. Shots, and let me be the first to welcome you all to the new school year. I'm sure you all had a good summer vacation?"
"Yes Ms. Shots." The students all said at once.
"Well good. I hope you all haven't let your reading and writing skills get rusty over the break." You look around as some of your classmates break eye contact. No doubt they didn't spend their summer in doors reading. "Well, that's okay. I'll get you all back on track and improve your writing skills for the third grade. I know an excellent exercise to get all of your thinking capes warm." Ms. Shots then turns around and writes 'Vocabulary' On the white board. "In this little game, we choose a word and write down as many different words that mean the same thing. These are called synonyms. Now what word should we start off with, I know! Everyone get out your pencils and papers." You and the rest of the class do as she says as she writes the word on the board. "Our word of the day is Penis. Now who knows any other words for penis?"

You hear some of your classmates giggle every time she says penis, but you're a little taken back by it. Can a teacher say stuff like that to their students, you're all kids after all. The boy to your left raises his hand. "Dick." He says loudly, as a kid answering a teacher's question would.
"Dick, that's a good one to start with, Hector." Ms. Shots writes down 'Dick' on the board and all of your classmates writes it down in their notes. "Anyone else?"
"Cock." Another student behind you answers. Ms. Shots writes it on the board.
"Johnson."
"Willy."
"Pecker."
"Wiener."
Ms. Shots continues to write all of these words down on the board, so you write them down on your paper as well. "Very good children. Doesn't it just make conversations that much more colorful when there's a variety of words in it?"
"Hot dog?"
"Yes, hot dog is a good term for penis. Any others?" Ms. Shots asks as she writes it on the board. Then the brown haired girl to your right raises her hand. "Yes Haley?"

"Fuck-stick?" You froze as she said that. Did she just say the F word? You can't believe this girl next to you just said that, she's gonna get into so much trouble.
"Yes fuck-stick is a very good one." Ms. Shots gleefully answers. The words that follow are ones that you've never heard used that way before before. Words like 'Schlong, dong, dingus, rod, pole, baby-maker, hole puncher.' For some reason you feel like if you said this kind of stuff to your parents, you'd be in time out for sure. "Very good class. Let's hear from someone who hasn't said anything yet." You cross your fingers hoping that she won't pick you but then her finger points directly at your direction. "Scott Sampson, can you add anything?" Ms. Shots says looking directly at you. You look at the board and all dick words you know are already up there and more. Well, except for one.
"Pee-pee?" You say nervously. The whole class laughs at the baby word you just said.
"Okay, pee-pee is a bit childish but I'll write it down. Now I think we have enough vocabulary words for our next part of class. I want everyone to pair up with a buddy and write down a paragraph describing them. I want to see some of these words on there since we'll be focusing on that part of them. Now everyone pair up." You couldn't believe what she is telling you. You have to write a whole paragraph about a partners penis? How can she expect you to write so much and what would happen to people partnered up with a girl. You look around to see who'll be your partner.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Hector, the boy to your left?

2. Haley, the girl to your right?

3. Ms. Shots, your teacher?

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
