It was the start of the weekend and you were in your bedroom, listening to music.
As you danced in front of the mirror, something sparkly caught your eye. Fuchsia glitter cascaded to the center of the mirror to reveal a pretty winged girl with shiny brown bunches that was around the same age as you!
“Hello!” She introduced herself, her voice tinkling like a miniature bell. “My name is Sienna the Saturday Fairy.”
“You’re a… you’re a Fairy?” You asked innocently.
“That’s right!” Sienna smiled sweetly. “I’m so glad I found you!”
“You are? Why’s that?” You gasped as Sienna points her tiny pink wand at the mirror in front of you. Suddenly it transformed into a magic looking glass – it was misty at first but it quickly cleared to reveal the rooftops of a kingdom you had never seen or dreamed before – Fairyland.
“Why are the rooftops so pale?” You asked, pointing to the faded fairy houses dotted over the hillside.
Although Sienna’s face fell, her voice perked right up. “They used to be bright red, but now they’ve lost their color.”
“That’s terrible!” You gasped.
You led your new friend over to the windowsill, and then took a seat on your bed. “I’m so glad you’re able to see the magic.” Sienna smoothed out her skirt and proceeded to tell you that Jack Frost had kidnapped Ruby the Red Fairy! The mean Ice Lord had apparently been plotting the sceme ever since Ruby forgot to invite him to the Midsummer Ball. The Rainbow Fairies and all their friends had searched Fairyland from top to bottom, but were unable to find even a trace of Ruby. “Ruby must be somewhere in the human world,” Sienna finished. “That’s why I decided to find you.” The little fairy fluttered over to touch your hand. “We know you’ve got a kind heart and that you believe in magic. Can you help find Ruby and bring the red back to Fairyland?” she asked sweetly.
You smiled and nodded your head at once.
“Thank you so much!” Sienna clapped her hands, her little wings trembling with excitement. “There’s not a moment to lose!”
