The sudden disappearance of two prison inmates didn't go totally unnoticed. A pair of violent criminals, both rather unpleasant men in their late twenties, were present and accounted for in the shared cell as always one unremarkable morning, but by the afternoon, the prison's guards would be wondering how on earth the two had vanished.
Their cell was still locked, and a careful examination didn't uncover any possible means of escape. As if the two had simply vanished into the empty air, the cell appeared totally untouched.
The investigation didn't last long. There were simply no possible leads to go on.
Contrary to the theories of police and prison staff, however, the two men were both alive and well. At least, if one took "well" to simply mean "physically unharmed", that is.
"What the fuck..."
"Jesus..."
One of the two, a man named Reede, with brown hair tied into a small ponytail, stared disbelievingly around at the sights that surrounded him and his cellmate.
The cellmate in question, a slightly older man named Kent, who had short, black hair with seemingly permanent stubble on his chin, hadn't yet moved from the spot where he woke up. He and his cellmate had apparently blacked out at precisely the same moment, and wherever they were now, it was not their cell.
Or any other part of the prison, it was clear.
For one thing, neither man knew much about where they were at the moment, in no small part due to their quick discovery that their height had somehow been reduced to a total of roughly half an inch.
For another, they didn't know it yet, but they were not going to survive this incident.
