Reason told Edgeworth that this was impossible. Reason told him that there was simply no possibility that he had passed out on an international flight and awoken to find himself reduced to significantly less than a single inch in height, transported away from where he'd been when he blacked out, and ended up stranded on a bed that now appeared to be at least a mile wide.
... Several failed attempts to wake himself up from the presumed dream he was experiencing were making a strong case that this somehow was, unbelievably, really happening to him.
The room beyond the already-enormous bed he was standing on was so vast he could barely process it. He could see a far-off set of lockers that looked large enough to contain a city. There was something he needed several seconds to register as a truly hideous suitcase, which was coloured in a nauseating blend of bright yellow, lime-green, and pink. A skyscraper could have fit inside of it.
So, if he was to accept this situation regardless of its seeming impossibility, he couldn't go about simply standing in one place like this. He would have to begin assessing his options and--
The world suddenly seemed to stop. There was no time to react. One moment Edgeworth was surveying the area around him, and the next he was hurtling dizzyingly through the air. Then, just as quickly, he slammed down on the ground again, lying on his front.
The impact ought to have killed him, he was certain, but even as the adrenaline faded away, he could confirm that he appeared unharmed.
The sudden chaotic movement had to have been simple turbulence. It was just that his utterly puny size made the slight jostling motion feel like the entire world shifting.
He pushed himself somewhat shakily back onto his feet.
And then something else astonishing happened. A massive door far across the seemingly infinite space of the room opened, and a flight attendant Edgeworth faintly recognized having seen earlier in the trip entered the room. She moved with utterly impossible grace for her scale; the mind-bending sight nearly forced him to close his eyes.
She was coming closer, her literally mountainous height rising so far over his head that he couldn't crane his neck up far enough to continue observing her distant face.
