Charlotte stormed off to the toilets, grumbling and overall, thoroughly pissed off at her lot in life. Why did she have to put up with this? Working on toiletries on her own until "some of the other sections get worked?" Yeah, knowing Liz's opinion of her, the chances of her getting any help was practically zero.
Suddenly, Charlotte froze. A chill crept its way up her spine, causing her to shiver. She fearfully peered around when-
Boom!
The world exploded into colors. Red, green, blue, violet. They danced across her eyes. The chill ran up into her head, causing a gradually increasing ache. She was about to scream when-
It stopped. Charlotte stood right where she was before, as if nothing had happened. She looked around. Nothing had changed around her.
"What was that about?" she muttered to herself.
She shivered when she thought back to that... vision. It was something beyond human experience, something that was not meant to be seen by human eyes. It was beyond comprehension.
Unbeknownst to Charlotte, much of the rest of the store also experienced visions. Maybe not to the intensity she had, but enough that it would soon become a main topic of conversation.
Charlotte took one last look around before she scurried off. She had the odd feeling that something horrible was about to happen, but she had no idea what. However, one thing was for certain.
She wasn't that worried about working alone on toiletries anymore.
