"Hey, what's that thing in your hand?" Kiran asked Jessica as she approached her suddenly.
Jessica seemed disinterested, just shrugging her shoulders. "Hmm, not sure, some kind of remote that doesn't work on anything." The readhead mumbled, as she showed it to her friend.
"Looks like... no it can't be." Kiran said, shaking her head.
"What??"
"Just looks like something I've read about in a couple of weird stories online. A part swapper or some such." Kiran stated. She then went into a little more detail, but she didn't know much about the said stories. "I mean, it's obvious it's not a TV remote. Have you tried it on anyone?" she asked Jessica, who hesitated before answering that question.
"Um... yeah, just Suki." Jessica said.
"And...?" Kiran waited with bated breath.
Jessica again shrugged. "And... I didn't pay any real attention. I wasn't expecting anything to happen." She was startled suddenly when Kiran grabbed her hand and pulled her off towards the aisle Suki was working on. It didn't take long to locate their Indian-born co-worker. "Right, notice anything different about her? We have to look carefully." Kiran stated.
"No, can't say that I... wait... can you see that?" Jessica mumbled, as she narrowed her eyes, zeroing in on Suki's groin. It wasn't too noticeable, but there seemed to be some kind of 'raise' in her tight trousers.
"I can!" Kiran answered, a smile playing around her lips. "Jess, luv, I think you've got a genital swapper there." she said, in apparent excitement. "Was Suki near to anyone when you aimed the remote at her?" she asked.
Jessica thought back, then nodded. "Yeah, Luke I think. He was walking past her at the time."
"Hmm, well it's not as though we can ask Luke to drop his pants to confirm this." Kiran bit her lip as she gave it some thought. "And it just doesn't seem right to ask Suki if she's got a stiffy." she chuckled.
"Is there another way to confirm what we have here?" Jessica inquired, relying on her friend's 'advice' heavily.
"Of course there is, we try using that thing again, on one of us." Kiran shrugged.
Jessica swallowed hard, then took a deep breath. "Oh... right!"
