...While her friends have called her mischievous and somewhat careless, Laura was by no means a particularly cruel person. And, while she didn't think of it back on the bus, there was the off chance that the device had some unknown harmful side-effect.
It was only fair that she test it a bit on herself before she deemed it safe enough to mess around with.
"Alright then." She muttered as she slid the device out of her pocket. "Lets see what you can do."
She needed two test subjects for this, and thankfully, Natalie had her back turned. Laura threw one more glance around to make sure that no one was watching.
"Alright, here goes nothing." Laura bit her lips and pressed the button.
A flash of light and a tingle ran down her spine. Another tingle ran down the roots of her hair like a light breeze. It didn't feel so bad. It was almost... pleasurable.
And then it stopped.
Laura looked up from her device to see a now blonde haired Natalie casually walking down the aisle, completely oblivious that anything had happened.
Laura lifted a brown colored pigtail in front of her eyes.
So... that proved there were no harmful side effects.
