Amy walked into the party at a brisk pace. The smell of stale beer and cigarettes filled her nostrils as she pushed past the crowd. Having been at this house before, she knew the bathroom was downstairs, to the right, opposite of the keg and "bar". Approaching the door, she could see through the hazy, dim light that the line was easily twelve people deep, some fratty guys but mainly girls in tight dresses and slightly smeared makeup.
This can't do she thought to herself. She NEEDED to try out that app again, in private. Thinking quickly, she pulled out her phone, typing There is no line for the bathroom right now
With a spark, the line dispersed. Amy gave a silent cheer as she rushed inside and locked the door.
The darkened room thumped from the music outside, a fluorescent light humming overhead. Amy calmed her breathing before looking at her phone, the app waiting patiently on screen, its typing icon pulsing.
