the ground below you is a thick layer of yellowish sticks about the width of your forearm and far longer than you are tall. you tentatively bounce on the ground to see if it can even hold you. its springy, but it will hold you. you're still freaking out and you look around. you see a brown horse, undoubtedly a Clydesdale, judging by its size and build, in the opposite stall. beside it in the hallway is the same shelf you hid behind last night. as the events of the previous evening become more clear, you remember one terrifying detail:
there is a horse in this stall.
slowly, you turn around, dreading the consequences of being right, and you are. a massive brown pillar rises up into the air only a hundred feet or so from you. you follow it upward, wincing the whole way. its connected to a brown and white speckled body, a thick neck, and an equine head, presently looking out of the stall. you whimper. this thing could reduce you to a bloody paste on the ground and not even notice, or care for that matter.
