Chapter #5

Time to move on...

Rolling his head to the source of the voice, he was surpassed to see a woman addressing him. She was very attractive older black woman. In spite of a colorful dress and a pencil skirt that hugged her sizable breasts and spoon-shaped figure, it was her lovely face was caught his eye. Her hemline stopped below her knees and wedge sandals that accentuated her feet and legs. Her comely posterior rolled smoothly with her gait as she approached him. At that moment, he was very surprised a person, let alone a total MILF, was focused on him, then his brain filled in the last ten seconds. He frowned, "What do you mean pathetic?!"

"I mean I haven't seen anybody who felt so sorry for himself that an entire store of heads refuse to even glance over here!" She parked hand on a curvy hip and cocked an eyebrow on him . "In fact, you are so depressing, I positive that I'm feeling a little cold right now."

Collin turned red and tried to retort, "I-If that's true, maybe you're just stupid enough to even bother coming near me. " When saw the glint in her eye, he tensed up for a slap, but it never came. Instead, she just chortled and smiled sadly.

"You must really think so little of your self, if you keep others away by making them feel bad for you."

"I don't anyone to feel bad for me!" he said angrily.

"Really?" She bent down and looked directly into his eyes. "Then how is it in a store full of heads getting along well with each other and customers, I didn't hear anything from you when I came in?"

Collin said nothing and averted his eyes away. The woman leaned back, sighed to herself, and after a second of consideration, indicated to the staff ( who were pointedly trying to pretend not listening) with her finger pointed to the privacy booth in the back of the store. The supervisor nodded and mimed 10 minutes; then the woman, in one swift motion, plucked Collin off the shelf with one hand, tucked him into the crook of her arm, and walked towards the booth. Collin was curious but didn't say anything or rather, couldn't, since she was holding her fingers on his mouth. They felt cool, smooth, and soft against his lips, and her manicured nails never dug into his cheek. When she stepped inside, she looked around for a spot to put him down on because it was furnished with only a chair. Impatient, Collins levitated himself to her eye level and demanded, "Why did you want to talk to me alone?"

She deliberately took the time to sit herself down, cross a leg over the other, and compose herself before replying."Because I get the feeling you need someone to listen to what you have to say without judging you and you clearly didn't want to say anything in front of the other heads."

"Why would I tell to you?!" Collin fumed.

She sighed. "Because honey, if you don't talk to someone now, you'll regret it the longer you stay in here; you know it's true."

Collin grudgingly, but silently, agreed with her. Against his will, he told her about his situation, and by the time he was finished, he felt relieved that it was all out. After a few seconds of silence, the other occupant tsked at him. "Honey, if that isn't the most ridiculous thing I have heard! I mean, I can understand wanting to try something new, but you haven't even finished puberty! You still have a whole life ahead of you."

Collin dropped to the floor and moped. "I know, I KNOW. But nothing was ever working for me, people gave up, and I didn't know WHAT to do…", he muttered.

Nothing else was said for a few seconds, then the woman uncrossed her legs, leaned down, and picked Collin off the floor. She deposited him in her lap and looked him in the eye as she addressed him, "Honey, everyone goes through that at least once in their lives, The only way they overcome their problems, is to go through them. It's not easy trying to go at it alone, and friends and family help a lot. But the only one who can make anything work in their life, is yourself."

Collin dropped his eyes. Everything she said was true about him, and he felt lost. He barely focus on the fact that his eyelids stared feeling watery. She used one hand to gently wipe his eyes clear and sighed out loud. She glanced upward in reflection and said, "Believe it or not, I'm feeling down the drain myself. I'm 44 years old, and have been living by myself for last year since daughter moved away with her husband. My own husband left us years ago, and raised her by myself, but now she's gone…"

"So you came in today to find someone else to take care off." Collin finished for her.

She laughed. "No, no. I thought it was time to try letting someone else take care of me for a change!"

Collin smiled, "Well, it seems you walked in the right place, since I can confirm that strangers walk in all the time and care for us." She laughed again and smoothed his hair. She stopped for a moment with a far-off look in her eyes, looked back at Collin, as if sizing him up, and smiled broadly. "What's your name honey?"

"Collin, and your's?"

"Nicole Jackson"

"I'm glad you came in today Ms. Jackson, you've given me a better look at my life, and I hope you find someone to adopt someday."

Nicole beamed at Collin. "Call me Nicole, please! And I just realized something Collin. It seems to me that you need more than just a body and a new life; you need some assistance with basic living needs until you can take care of yourself and anyone else you want. As for me, being a pet head would be a great improvement in my life, but it seems I not yet ready for that. I still love helping others. I think though, I might get to do both with your help."

"My Help?"

"Yes, here's my offer. You can have my body and lifestyle, and in exchange, you adopt me."
