Appearance: As a Sphinx, Bast possesses the upper torso and face of human woman, the belly, hind legs & tail of a lion and the wings of a bird. She has dusky brown skin, long & dark curly hair and amber slits for eyes. Her arms/front legs are a cross between hands and lion paws: each finger bears a retractable claw and three digits and thumbs. The fur of her lion parts are a light cream color and her large wings have black feathers.
Description: As a fighter of the Gold Division, Bast is undefeated and quite popular. This is due, in part, to the natural good looks of her human body parts, giving her massive appeal to humans fans. The other part is due to her powers. As a sphinx, Bast has a number of magical powers but the most known on is her ability to alter her body's fat/muscle proportions. She can easily turn herself into a massive blob of adipose, a female Adonis of muscle or anything in between. She can even change her size from her normal height to that more in line with a normal lion. As such, no match she's ever had goes exactly the same and she often approaches them all with an altered appearance. She will change her physique and size as she fights, picking what she believes to be best to bring her opponent down. Hence, she always gives the crowd quite a show and makes her one of the most viewed fighters in the ASL.
Bast is incredibly intelligent and wise, befitting a sphinx. She enjoys reading as much as she enjoys a good brawl and takes multiple opportunities to learn new things. She also loves to be pampered and uses the ASL's lifestyle to indulge. She notably detests stupidity and ignorance and her respect for others is based on their own intellect: the higher it is, the better she treats them. Overall, she is quite proud and not afraid to look her nose down on those she considers to be stupid and due to her own high level of intellect and exacting standards, she disdains most around her. However, Bast is willing to change her opinion should one prove themselves to her in some capacity.
Notably, Bast has several other traits. The first is that she often walks around on all fours, making her appear shorter than she actually is, in spite of the fact that she can walk on her hind legs. Why she does this isn't known but some think it's so others will underestimate her. Second, she often throws riddles at others, testing their ability to problem solve and work with logic. This both to mess with them and to evaluate them intellectually.
