The school bell pealed for the 2:55 final call, small cheers of joy as a long weekend was finally before the students and teachers. A nice long break to enjoy all the fun and fancy free they could squish into the normal weekend padded with an extra day to recover. A few teachers were eager to remind student of assignments and tests that would loom shortly upon their return, but such was lost amid the plans and chaos of the buzzing student body. And none were buzzing more than Twilight "Science" Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, the biggest pair of love nerds this side of the mirror portal.
"Are you as excited as I am?!" Twilight twittered with glee, a manic grin smeared across her face as dozens of thoughts raced across her mind. "We'll finally be able to do all those long-form experiments we've been dying to do! I've been getting all the supplies and printing out walkthroughs and-"
"Twi~ You sound like Pinkie with how wired you are," Sunset teased, placing a finger to her friend's lips. She shared her friend's smile, if a bit ore controlled as the pair strolled along th halls, ready to walk home. "But yeah, I'm stoked your Mom said we could have a huge sleepover for the whole weekend~ Especially with your dad on business like this."
"It's pretty unusual, but I guess it's a pretty big deal for him. Still, I'm just happy we'll get to spend so much time together~"
"Can't complain about that. Anyways, I'm gonna go grab some stuff from my house and then be over for tonight. See you at Six."
"See you then Sunset!" The pair parted, Twilight rushing home and getting everything ready for her perfect weekend of fun and laboratory work with Sunset. The only thing that threw her off was a missing mother.
"Mom? You home?" she had called out, only to find a note explaining that she had gone off to visit an old friend and would be back later, leaving a small snack and pizza money for her to enjoy with Sunset for their night in. Twilight could only shrug, not recalling her mom mentioning seeing friends, but she supposed it was a last minute arrangement and would be fine. It jut allowed her more time to focus on getting preparations finalized.

Within a few hours, a knock came expectantly at the door.
"Sunset~ Come on in!"
"Thanks Twi. I brought all the stuff I could think of us needing," Sunset wrapped her friend into a warm embrace, doing her best not to let her duffel bag and guitar case crumple the frailer girl. "So, what are we gonna do first?"
"I've got a couple of thing set up in the lab ready to go when you're all set. But since we have all weekend, we can pretty much do whatever you'd like to start."
"Frankly, I'm right int he ood to be cozy and settle in a bit. It's pretty rare I get to hang out for so ong here."
"Sounds great~ I'll go change upstairs, feel free to us the bathroom in the hall."

After a quick change into their pajamas, the girls were ready for a fun night in. As they settle onto Twilight's bd, a warm rumble escapes Sunset's belly.
"Heh, guess I should have gotten something to eat back home."
"No worries Sunset, I've got just the thing~"
