Chloe took a while to answer. She was a bit unsure about this. A part of her was still convinced this wouldn't work! Still, she took the question seriously and took a while to respond. She could just end up as a little kid again. Maybe 10, or 5. But that would kind of defeat the purpose of the daycare, wouldn't it?
She also didn't want to be a baby either. She wanted to still be able to walk and talk. Thats when it hit her. "How about 2?" Chloe answered. The lady smiled and pressed some buttons while her mom clapped. "Oh Chloe! You were so cute at that age!" Her mom said.
The girl blushed then heard the machine power up. "Close your eyes sweetie." The daycare lady said. Chloe obeyed but still saw a flash of light through her eyelids. Her body felt weird, almost like it was being compressed, and then it was over. Chloe blinked her eyes open and gaped. Everything was huge now! Looking at herself Chloe could tell that she wasn't a teenager anymore, but a little girl! "It actually worked?!?" She thought.
"Yes sweetie, it really worked. You're a 2-year-old girl now." The daycare lady said walking over to her. "Now tell you mom bye. She'll pick oyu up later on. Right now, we need to get you ready for daycare!" So, saying the lady picked the toddler girl up. Chloe gave a little squeal of shock at the action. Mother and daughter said their goodbye's, with her mom promising to pick her up on time, and then Chloe found herself carried deeper into the daycare.
"We got to get you ready first sweetie." The daycare worker explained as she carried Chloe into a side room. "First we'll figure out what you want to wear then I'll take you to the playroom." A variety of outfits for little girls were arranged for easy access. Also clearly visible were packages of diapers and pull-ups of different designs. The worker set Chloe down and patted her head. "Ok Chloe, what would you like to wear? We can decide on an outfit later."
