Geara uses the remote to make some improvements...

          Alex found his entire body frozen. Everything except his eyeballs, which were still able to track Geara as she circled around him. A moment later Alex's clothes disappeared. As much as he tried, the boy couldn't move an inch to cover himself.

          "Tell me Alex, do you like your body?" Geara asked.

          With another press of the remote Alex found his jaw unfrozen. "No, why would I? I'm too short. My hair is always greasy no matter what shampoos I use. I'm stuck looking Goth pale unless I want to walk around with a sunburn. You tell me one good thing about my body."

          "You do seem slightly above average in one important area." Geara pointed between Alex's legs.

          Alex blushed. "Which would come in handy, if I ever got to that point.” he stammered. “But most girls take one look and avoid me like the plague."

          "I'm a girl and I'm still here."

          "But you're a robot and…fictional."

          Geara came over and put a hand on Alex's shoulder. To his surprise the skin was actually warm and soft. "Do I feel fictional?"

          "No…you don't."

          "Then I'm not. I'm as real as you want me to be. Just like I detect there is a different you, a true you lurking inside your current shell. Would you like me to help that part of you break free?"

          "With the remote?"

          "Can you think of an easier way?"

          Alex shook his head. Geara walked over to Alex's book shelf and returned with a pile of comic books. "These are your idols, are they not? Heroes who are pretty and adored. The ones that always save the day and get the girl. Would you like to be one of them?"

          Geara was offering him the chance to be a hero? Deep down, that had been Alex's dream for a long time. Every attempt to get closer to his idea had ended in failure so far, but with the remote…."Please Geara, help me to be who I was always meant to be."

          As Geara pointed the remote first at the comic book and then in his direction, Alex closed his eyes and waited for the changes to come.
