Whereupon a young girl stands on her father'...

Whereupon a young girl stands on her father, and proclaims her knowledge of the Shadow Beast. Her mother, dead one year, was the witch of the woods.
"My father can attest, that I am a descendant of the family Craft. The witches of these woods, knowledgeable in all the ways of these woods. The shadow beast is hungry, and we are his food, we are his way to magic, and we are all doomed!", she crawls down and approaches the elders.
"My child, we are not all doomed. You speak with such conviction for such a young girl. How can you know this?", the elder sternly looked at her.
As she approaches the elders, "The beast is thirsty for our blood, to bring back his master, through evil spells, and ritual.
"What do you suggest we do, oh one of the woods?"
The girl bows her head and takes a deep breath. "We have few options as the beast is soon to be upon us. I can not tell you what to do, for it is the decisions of men that shall help or hinder.
