Steven follows the sparkling path leading the pixie away from his sister, grabbing Laura with him, saying, “We did not succeed in bringing the boy with us. I am not turning down another offer of help in this confusing wasteland.”
Laura allowed herself to be dragged along the wisps of golden dust guiding the way to an unknown destination only known to the pixie.
Halting abruptly, Steven recognizes the surrounds as described in the legends of old of far away lands in the distance. The pixie shone her dust so Laura and he could see what lay in the distance; the Throne of Justice, which is responsible for the balance of the Humans and The Gods. A strange black cloud filling the sky with its darkness was such a strange sight to behold with Steven’s emerald eyes watching with a hopeless feeling of emotion overcome him in despair. Falling down on the ground, raising a fist in the air, he exclaims, “We need to do something! This feels awful! Pixie, what is that black stuff floating in the sky it feels awful? What can we do?"
The Pixie approaches Steven, “You can call me Freya. You are witnessing the imbalance between the Humans and The Gods. The only way to restore balance is for one Human and one God to participate in the healing ceremony on the Throne of Justice. I know of one God who is willing to help. Are you willing to accept?”
Confused about what Laura just heard, tucking a piece of auburn hair behind her ear, she looks at Freya with cold blue eyes, she spouts out, “This Pixie is here to trick us, we cannot accept what she proposes. We are better off on our own.”
Laura starts to walk away, while Steven grabs her, spinning her around to face him, looking into the face of his sister, “We have lost our family and more than likely all our friends. We barely made it out alive of our prosperous city without a scratch, it is up to us to do what we can bring our world back into balance. Even if it means our death.”
“Steven you have no idea what you are saying, this Pixie has no clue what she tells us. It is all part of her trickery. If you decide to go with her, you are on your own.
