Alvin had entered the university nearing the final graduation day and was thrilled to get to the auditorium to finally see the multi-verse theory in action. Some random grey-haired science wacko told him it'd be even more beneficial to his grades, and with the genuine interest he was glad to help. He entered the auditorium with many adults and other students sitting up front, four judges- the Dean's, we're in front of them, it looked like another project had just ended..
He walked silently to the stage with a little anxiety seeing this scientist roll out a hunky machine, reinforced carbon in a pod shape and a weird raise-lowering door attached to hundreds of thick wires and some weird yellow ball, it looked like fusion to him. "Dr. Bittern, nice to see you invented something."
Alvin finally knew his name, he would just call him 'Joe'..
Bittern happily raised the pod slowly as Alvin relaxed some and got confident in this test, the interior of the pod had rings sticking out slightly.. "It's my most revolutionary one yet! See, Alvin.. please?" He asked him, Alvin slightly nervous but stepping into the raised platform. It started lowering again, he couldn't help but quiver with fear and excitement. "Watch as the exterior s.." it muffled his hearing while a low hum started, he could feel the ground becoming slightly lighter under him..
Then white, after a minute. The hum grew to mediocre volume as he reached his hands around, not touching anything and standing on nothing but still walking freely..
'What happened?' Is what he thought, confused, before he found himself falling onto a grass covered ground and feeling horrible pain in his back before passing out, only able to react with sheer confusion before he knew what happened..
