Alex and Max argued amongst themselves, trying to figure out what to do. I was just as shocked as them, but fighting wasn't going to solve anything.
"Guys, stop arguing!" I called out to them, to no avail. My small voice only squeaked patheticly, barely loud enough to be heard even if they were calm but in their whirlwind of sibling quarrel, it did nothing. After trying to wave my arms and grab their attention I scanned the room to find a way to break up the fight in my tiny state and saw a thick blue mug sitting dangerously close to the edge of the table. I stumbled over to the mug, still disoriented from waking up so suddenly, and threw myself against the side of it. It fell down to the floor with a loud Crash!
Alex and Max jumped at the crash in surprise and stared at the broken mug as if it were a dead body.
"Dude, that's mom's favourite mug, she's going to kill us." Alex gasped, crouching to pick up the shards.
"Just listen for a second!" I exclaimed when they started to ignore me already. It was ironic that I was the elephant in the room that they ignored even though I was so tiny. Alex stopped his scrambling for the pieces to listen to me. "If we're going to find out what the heck happened, we need to go back to wherever you found me and look for clues." Max looked at his brother and shrugged. It was a better idea than anything they came up with while arguing.
The three left for the driveway again and began searching for something, anything to explain what happened. I hung out of Alex's pocket while he walked because my tiny legs would never have been able to keep up.
