Investigate the battery.

You think you remember something, something about the battery.
As you approach the earsplitting whine deepens until it's a throbbing ache inside your head.
In there something moves like the clouds have been shoved aside by something more powerful still.

Standing in front of it you don't see any difference between it and any flashlight battery but that ache in your head tells a different story.
You walk around behind it and discover that there's a socket like that into which you would plug a lamp and you wonder if this might be the power source for something bigger. If it was the object is gone, now, but why was this left here. Did events happen too fast for someone to take it, too?
