It started off as a regular day at the Pickle’s house. Tommy was sitting in his play pen and Dil was being fed by his mother Didi. Stu was sitting at the table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. Then the doorbell rang and Stu got up to answer it. It was Chaz, Betty, and Kira with Phil, Lil, Chuckie and Kimi. Chaz and Betty put the kids down in the play pen to play with Tommy. Then they went into the kitchen to talk with Stu and Betty. The kids started pushing a ball around, then there was a loud crash. A truck crashed into the wall and sprayed the five kids with a green substance. The waste instantly absorbed into their bodies and the kids started crying. The parents rushed in as soon as they heard the crash. They rushed over to the kids and calmed them down. They took the kids outside to play. After making sure the kids were all right, they all confronted the driver. Didi held Dil in her arms.
The driver came out of the cab and apologized to everyone, but they wanted none of it. As they were screaming at the driver the kids were talking outside. They started to feel tingly and they all started glowing green. They gradually started to grow. The parents were still yelling at the driver when they heard another loud crash. They saw Phil’s shoe crash through the wall. They quickly ran outside and watched in shock as the kids grew. Soon enough the kids were standing at 200 feet tall. Tommy’s house and the houses on either side were flattened already.
The neighbors came out upon hearing the ruckus. They stood in shock at the sight of 5 babies above their city. The kids looked down at everyone and smiled. This sent the people into a panic. Dil was smiling in Didi’s arms (he didn’t grow because he was in the kitchen when the crash happened). The first power they realized they had was the ability to talk with an adult’s vocabulary but they still thought the city was a toy.
“Look at the little bugs run”, yelled Phil. “Yeah they’re cute, but we have a whole toy city to play with, said Kimi. “I don’t think that’s a good idea guys, said Chuckie. The others looked at him. Tommy told him, “Don’t worry, they’re just toys Chuckie.” Most started running away when Tommy said this, but Stu, Didi, Chaz, Kira, and Betty stayed behind staring at their kids.
The babies noticed that a few didn’t run. Phil reached down and picked up them all up. He lifted them up to his face and smiled at them. "I’ll save you bugs for later." He shoved them into his shirt pocket.
The kids started walking after the people that were running. Tommy was in front, then Phil and Lil, Kimi was next and Chuckie at the back. Soon enough they passed Tommy’s cousin Angelica’s house. When Tommy saw that this dollhouse looked like Angelica’s he immediately got upset. He was thinking of all the times Angelica bullied him and his friends. He sat down on the house and it crumbled beneath his diaper. Tommy giggled at crushing a building
That was when he noticed three bugs near his feet, Angelica, Drew, and Charlotte. Upon seeing the bug that looked like Angelica, he quickly picked her up and brought her to his face. “You look just like my mean cousin Angelica.” He smiled as he knew what to do with her. He stood up and walked over to Lil. He told Lil that he had a juicy bug for her to eat. She smiled and took the bug from Tommy. Without really looking at it, she lifted it up to her mouth. Angelica was begging for the babies to let her live, but Lil continued bringing Angelica to her mouth. Lil opened up her mouth and tossed the screaming Angelica inside.
With a loud ‘gulp’, Lil swallowed Angelica whole. Everyone could see the bulge in her throat as Angelica slid towards Lil’s stomach. Once inside, she started struggling and banging on the walls. Lil just laughed at the little ’bugs’ struggles. After a few minutes, Angelica was nothing but mush in Lil’s stomach. Lil said, “Wow Tommy, that bug was really good.”
The kids looked around the city wondering what to do first.
