On screen, letters and numbers flash in a sequence of nonsense. None of these names resemble a name and none of the whole numbers you catch a glimpse of would be found on your contacts list. The letters themselves are often from other alphabets. You hold the device in your hand, staring at the odd glitch, wondering what could be happening and what could have caused this.
Then a number stops spinning, locking into place like a password being cracked on a television show. A letter too, part of a name, halts and begins to reveal the mystery or perhaps only make it more confusing. You start to sweat. What is going to happen when this is over? Is this going to be a real number and a real person? Does this have something to do with you being here, attempting to steal the matter transposer, or is this just some error in the software, like a digital Ouija board possessed, scaring the life out of you at the absolute wrong moment?
