She was right, thousands of year passed since the evil spirit dark Bakura left the Millenium Heart, and eventually someone did found it ... The dark side of Bakura itself found it actually. Thousands of year after he threw it away, he took it again. Though, he never actually make use of it, and didn't planned to, he wanted to keep it on his side this time, in order to prevent the Pharaoh Atem or his allies from finding it and using it against him.
Thus, the Millenium Heart was nowadays in Bakura's house, inside a small chest in his room.
A well-kept secret Bakura didn't want to reveal to anybody, obviously...
After a long silence, he finally answered Rebecca.
"Well, yes ... I mean probably ... I don't know ...", he said with a faltering voice.
If the dark Bakura was a good actor, the innocent and good Bakura was a terribly bad liar.
"You're sure you don't know where it is ? ...", asked the cute blond girl, suspicious.
She wasn't stupid, far from it. She could easily tell Bakura was lying or hiding something from her.
"Uh... Yeah, Rebecca, I swear ... I mean, if I knew where the Millenium Heart was, I would have told it to Yugi, you or the others, don't you think ?...", he said, not very convincingly.
"Well, until five minutes ago, nobody but you knew that there was a Millenium Heart in the first place ... You never told any of us there was another Millenium item anyway...", she answered back.
Bakura had to admit, she got a point there ...
"It's only because none of you had to know of its existence ..."
"Just like none of us have to know where it is, right ?", Rebecca said, giving him a teasing smile.
"Yes, you shouldn't know where it is ...", he blushed, embarrassed.
"Ha ! So you know where it is !", she shouted at him in victory, grinning as she thought she uncovered him and that she was about to knew the truth.
"No, that's not what I said !", Bakura blushed even more.
"Listen, even if I knew where it was, I wouldn't tell you. It's a Millenium Item, it's far too dangerous thing to deal with."
"Hey, listen Bakura, I'm a big girl !", she said proudly while standing on her tiptoe, a big smile on her face and giving a wink at him, "I'm not stupid. I'm a very smart, don't you remember ?"
She giggled.
"And I'm a serious woman, also. I'm not a kid, I'm mature enough to understand things !"
Bakura sighed.
"Well, maybe ... but still..."
"Is it in your house ?", the girl asked.
"What ?! Noo !", Bakura was startled. He didn't expect her to guess that the Millenium Heart was indeed in his house, in his bedroom, hidden inside a chest.
Rebecca, a big grin on her face, understanding she might have put a finger on something, leaned forward at him and say
"Ahaaaa... You sneaky boy... You have it but you don't want to tell me. I smell that you're lying to me !"
She giggled.
"No, I'm not lying. Stop making stupid assumptions. You're making yourself stories. I don't have the Millenium Heart. I don't know where it is ! I swear"
"But you look exactly like someone who know where it is. And I bet you have it. You're the only to knew about it, and where it was, and strangely, after 3000 years, nobody found it while the other Millenium items have all been found. And it's not like you said it was actually hidden somewhere, right ? What a chance nobody found it yet, isn't it ? Or maybe you have it, and keep it secret with you, explaining why nobody ever heard of it, right ?", she asked more and more suspicious.
"No, that's silly, Rebecca ! I don't have it..." Bakura's face was plain red.
"I can see through you, Bakura" she laughed. "You're a very bad liar."
She continued.
"So, if you don't have it, you don't see any problem that I check for it in your house then ? It could be somewhere there, uh ?", she teased him.
"No ! It's not in my bedroom ! Don't come near my bedroom !", he shouted out, embarrassed and in panic.
"Uh ? I never spoke about your bedroom ...", said Rebecca.
Bakura realized he just trapped himself.
"Uh, OK. Well. I've things to do ! I've to go, sorry ! See you soon Rebecca !", the poor white-haired boy said quickly in panic. Not wanting to spend any more second with the young blond american girl, he run away without any "goodbye".
"Hmmm... Yeah... See you soon Bakura.", whispered Rebecca.
If Bakura had the said Millenium Heart he spoke about, Rebecca thought she had to found out.
The boy nearly admit that he had it somewhere in his room.
The girl would like so much to see such a magic item, or having a Millenium item for herself too.
One way or another, she had to find out the truth. Rebecca thought about a way to go into Bakura's room and find if he really had the powerful Millenium item...
