"Now, listen up everyone! We can do this for awhile as long as no one acts up. Have fun, but be respectful, okay?" Amanda told the little group.
There was a mixture of yeses and head nods from Elsa, R2-D2, Bozo, and Supergirl. Amanda frowned as she looked at Loki. "Okay, Kyle?"
Kyle pounded his staff on the ground with petulance and shouted, "I'm not Jake. I'm the trickstick god Loki. I'll do what I want, moral."
Amanda briefly face palmed but resisted correcting the boy that it was 'trickster' and 'mortal.' "Well, Loki, if you don't promise to behave, then you'll have to just watch the others get candy."
Kyle pouted for a moment and then said, "Fine. But beware my teachery, old actress."
Amanda nodded and hoped that it to be enough--besides the droid and superheroine were becoming restless. "Okay, everyone have their bags or buckets?" This time all the children nodded. "All right, let's go."
As the kids started running on on their short legs Amanda took out her pocket mirror from her purse to check on her blond wig and glanced over her white cocktail dress. She assumed Kyle's mom must have told him was from an old movie. It was picked out by her significant other, Diego, since he knew she like older movies and had learned that she almost had Marilyn Monroe's measurements.
The wig covered her short red hair well; the Seven Year Itch cocktail dress looked lovely after she adjusted her full breasts some. It felt odd to be without a bra--and underwear, since she had been running late--so Amanda wondered if the plunging neckline and visible skin was a bit too risque for taking kids trick-or-treating. She went with it since it was a gift and Diego had quipped that not only could she pull off but he'd be glad to.
The first couple of houses were uneventful, but the next one was were the trouble started.
