Kim set down her breakfast on the kitchen counter as she pulled up a stool and sat down, opening up the laptop waiting for her. The laptop was a nondescript affair, plain black and unassuming, but it was an integral part of Kim's job. Unlike the computer Kim had for her own personal use, this laptop was for work purposes only. Bought with cash in another state and accessing the internet through a server that would give her location as somewhere in Eastern Europe, Kim's activities were effectively untraceable. Such drastic measures were necessary when one was a professional hitman.
Kim idly began eating her breakfast as her free hand nimbly navigated to her email, pulling up her newest message and the contract details hidden within. Kim knew the code and its cipher by heart, so she had no trouble reading between the lines of what would normally be considered spam. What the woman read was... unusual, to say the least.
When it became apparent that she wasn't being hired to kill anybody, Kim was ready to close the message then and there. Her job was clearly defined, after all. Then she saw the extra two zeros pinned onto her normal rate. That was more than enough to keep her attention.
The target was a woman by the name of Veronica Sinclaire, some kind of mega-rich woman with political connections. Whoever was hiring Kim didn't want Veronica dead, but rather wanted her reputation and dignity in tatters. In addition to the huge increase in pay, the employer was offering a substantial bonus if Kim could fulfill her objectives in "creative" ways.
Thankfully, Kim prided herself on being inventive. Sure, she wasn't exactly inventive when it came to what her client wanted, but she could certainly improvise. Now, she just had to get close to her target, and Kim already knew just where to strike...
