Chapter #6She meets Scooby-Doo by: Triple Astrid was ecstatic; it was something that she hadn't seen in her whole life and her interest in the object influenced her decision to seek the object. At a relatively brisk pace, she guided Stormfly into a descent onto the sand of the beach with the intention of getting closer to the object.
Unsurprisingly, Stormfly's claws touched the warm grains the sand quickly which allowed Astrid to jump off safely onto the beach. Now metres away from the flashing light, strangely in the shape of a jewel, her instinct persuaded her to walk towards it, as if it's calling for her presence. A small part of her mind was screaming at her, nagging her to step back but those feelings subsided as a new emotion of discovery made her reach out her arm to touch the object. But as fate would have it, the moment her skin connected with the light, she was instantaneously knocked back a few metres, and the flashing light disappeared.
For a second, it felt like reality shifted around her, the bright and vast landscape turned a tad more vibrant than usual before everything turned back to normal. Mostly normal anyway. For Astrid, it felt like the sand was slightly less lively, and the temperature was oddly a bit colder as well as the trees being more menacing than she remembered... but there was definitely one change that did not belong with her. She glared at the brown creature in front of her, slowly waking up from its presumed slumber.
"Uh... I rhink I ate too rany Scooby Snacks!" the brown creature groaned, "I guess I imagined that.
Astrid blinked several times over what she witnessed. I mean sure, the small brown beast might've been believable because she'd seen crazier things happen over the course of her existence but still, having that said creature talk, was completely strange.
"You just talked!" Astrid gasped.
The brown dog stared straight at the blonde teen, dumbfounded at her question.
"Rid rou rit rour read Rastrid?" the dog asked in an offended tone.
Upon hearing her name, Astrid immediately turned hostile, raising her fists and preparing to fight with the brown beast, "How do you even know my name?"
"I'm rour rest riend!" he said, putting her "Ron't rou remember?"
Astrid shook her head.
"Rou rit rour read retty rard! Ret's ro rack ro re rillage rere Relma ran rort rou rout!"
Astrid was about to blurt out the fact that there was no-one in the village who went by the name of 'Velma' but decided against it, just in case she was indeed the crazy one.
"Okay, we can travel on Stormfly," Astrid stated as she looked behind, pointing at the dragon that she rode on. Only... it wasn't Stormfly she pointed at. It was... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
