Superman looked up and saw a small hole in the wall for light. He was chained to a wall in the dungeon of Queen Cleopatra and he was there only to serve her needs. He knew without his powers, he could be executed at any time. But he was alive because the Queen wanted to display him as a male pawn while she grew in might with the powers she took from him.
“No! You cannot go against the Roman legion my queen” Mark Anthony said.
“I can do what I want and there is no one to stop me. I got these powers from the Diamond of Ra and will use them to free my people “ Anthony looked at her”Why do you think that stone was put where it was? With great power comes great responsibility and the former king knew that power would
corrupt “ Cleopatra looked at Anthony and blew her breath at him and he went flying into the wall. Suddenly he was lifted up in the air like a rag doll “You are jealous of my power and also because I am a woman who is more powerful than a man”. “I love you my queen, but this power is going to change you into a dictator who will be no better than the forces you oppose “
With that she screamed and Mark Anthony went flying across the room in the other direction. “You love me and this is the gratitude I get for what has happened to me!” She went over and banged her gong and her two handmaidens appeared “These two women swore an allegiance to me and it has not wavered. You talk of love and power and yet you want me to give up something that will free my people and destroy the Roman dogs” She turned to her servants “You have served me and now you will be rewarded Take my hands! The two women grasped Cleopatra’s hands and there was a sudden flash of light.
“Now beware the power of Cleopatra! For now I go not alone but bring others with me!” The two maidens looked at each other and started flying around the room. One took a spear and hurled it at the other and it bounced off her chest. She grabbed a bow and arrow and shot it out the porch opening and watched fly out of sight. “My queen! What have you given us?” “Powers to rule beside me and powers to upend this male domination that sourrouds us” “Anthony are you with us ? If you are,go rally the troops for today the Romans are ours “”Tell them their queen and her consorts will lead them to victory” With that Cleopatra and her new consorts flew out the porch opening into the outside air in search of Romans.
