James's condition was a special one. For as long as he could remember, James has had the ability to change the size of anything around him. People, animals, and objects were all valid targets to get their sizes changed. For most people, this would have seemed more like a gift then a curse. But those people didn't have Paula for a mother.
The troubles started five years previous, when James was twelve years old. Up until that point, he had been fairly responsible with his powers; aside from occasionally shrinking a bully, he made sure to only use it for harmless fun. Shrinking cars, turning cats the size of tigers, things like that. It wasn't until that fateful night that things started to go bad.
Paula had gotten into yet another fight with her then boyfriend, Rick. Things got especially heated and the bastard pulled a knife on the two of them. Thinking fast, James shrunk him down to an inch tall. Things looked to be calming down when Paula walked up to the miniature man, swiped him from the floor, and dropped him into her mouth. With a smack of her lips she sent him down, down, down to her belly.
Since that night, James has been called on by his mother and her close friends to help "deal" with undesirables. He didn't enjoy it, but the favors he received from it more than made up for it. With a free day on his hands, James had to decide what to do.
His mother was an option; she always had someone or something for him to shrink. Another option was Sarah Brenner, a pudgy 40-year old woman down the street. A close friend of his mom, she had been texting James the past week asking for some help with a problem. Finally, there was Tina Campbell. She was an utter bitch to deal with; she seemed to have it out with everyone. Now that he had some free time, James was finally free to deal with her as he please.
