Moving closer you notice the air is alive with static, a pulse of warm prismatic light catches your eye. A circuitry pattern of interlinking glyphs and runes are illuminated beneath the glossy obsidian surface.
Running across it's surface they strike the ground, and before you can react your stomach churns. Your body is ripped from one reality and thrown into the next, a swirling mass of violet light. It's bitterly cold and difficult to breath, thankfully it only lasts a moment.
Thrown forward you land in the dirt, darkness closing in you hastily recover your footing. Before your eyes adjust you hear a rhythmic click and clank of metal striking stone echoing from somewhere nearby. Recovering your breath you breathe in the damp humid air, it's surprisingly warm. Suggesting a underground river or aquifer could be nearby.
Finally your eyes adjust to see the outline of rocks and boulders. Above you the caves texture is strange, alive somehow.
