Becca was delighted, but not for the reason you might expect, when the three bridesmaids and the page boy showed up at the church. The latter was Natalie's 8-year old nephew Matthew, and the bridesmaids were Natalie's younger sister Nicola, 26, her blonde friend Stacey, 28, and her brunette friend Emma, 27. All three women were wearing pink, off-the-shoulder dresses that extended down to their calves, and all stood taller than they normally would have in their 3-inch heeled, pink satin pumps. Their hairstyles were elegant, as was to be expected, and each wore assorted jewelry.
"This may be better than I thought." Becca muttered to herself with a smile, as she looked around at all the male guests... and imagined swapping three of them with the lovely bridesmaids. But for now, she would hold off.
"Isn't this amazing Becca?" a familiar voice suddenly said.
Becca turned to see Laura standing there, looking sweet in her chocolate-colored cotton dress and cream-colored pumps. She just gave her a slight smile and shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, its okay I suppose." she mumbled.
Laura just shook her head. "You could be more excited. This is Natalie's big day." Laura told her.
"Exactly. Natalie's... not mine." Becca sighed.
"Well, I hope you enjoy it anyway" Laura said, patting Becca on the shoulder before heading back to her seat.
