How about this? One day a man named Reuben Simmons was working on making a serum to make super soldiers for the U.S. military, so he uses himself as a test subject. At first nothing happens, but over time the serum bestows him with an advanced healing that causes him to gain weight like no tomorrow among other superhuman abilities.
