Home to Roost

No, it's difficult enough hanging in place against the insane velocities of this tiny bird, without adding the additional task of trying to tame the beast! Instead, you remain comfortable and secure on its neck, and coil your rope back up for the moment. You allow yourself the luxury of gazing to the side, past the incredible power of the rapidly beating wings, at the magnificent landscape speeding by.

You can identify no landmarks, and have no clue how far from home you have been taken. Even when you do manage to tame this steed, you have no guarantee you'll be able to get back, even less retrieve the size device.

You'll have to live a life of tiny survival forever.

Fine! Taming this oriole will be but the first of so many incredible labours! You will become a hero, an explorer and a conqueror!

The oriole beats its wings heavily to keep itself in place, and you realise it is coming to land in its nest. Below, the unique hanging nest structure of its kind, dangling from the branches of a tree. Luckily, you can see no eager chicks cheeping for food, so there's no risk of hungry mouths devouring you. You brace yourself as the bird brings itself down, pacing around its tiny, comfortable lair.

Below, you can see some eggs, which the bird is about to nestle down upon. It should be quiet for a little while, which would be perfect for your taming plans. It could also be a chance for you to climb to the tree and get away yourself, or maybe even dare to try to crack into an egg and eat the contents...
